Dynamo Moscow insisted on Tuesday that Liverpool...

Liverpool earlier rejected claims by Dynamo"s sporting director Konstantin Sarsaniya that the Moscow club could sign the 29-year-old Israeli international.

"The player is not for sale, it"s as simple as that," a club spokesman was quoted as saying on the team"s official website on January 27.

But Sarsaniya told sportbox.ru that the deal could still go through before the transfer window for Russian clubs closes before the start of the new season in March.

"The issue is still open," he said. "Two weeks should be enough to deal with the matter."

Sarsaniya earlier claimed that Benayoun could be sold against the wishes of club manager Rafael Benitez.
